Bank Holiday Hike in Dublin: Cruagh Woods and Tilbradden Mountain

It was bank holiday Monday and after a wet weekend, Mark, Finn (the Irish Water Spaniel) and I we were itching to go for a hike. We knew the ground would be dry around Cruagh Woods and Tilbradden so we set off.

It was lovely to get some fresh mountain air, despite the drizzle at the top of Tilbradden.

Thankfully, I was wearing a Full Time Sports hoodie, which helped keep the rain off and my FTS long sleeve hooded top, sports bra and leggings, which kept me cool on the hills. Mark was wearing the latest Full Time Sports hoodie (psst. we’re still preparing to launch this so consider this your sneak peek!) and one of our quick-dry t-shirts.

Finn the dog had a blast exploring the woods and came home wrecked – and covered in pine needles!

It wasn’t a long hike, just under 10k, but it was great to get out – even with the light rain. If you’re wearing the right gear, there’s no such thing as bad weather, right?

We’d love to hear about your walks in Ireland so get in touch! Share your stories here or on our social media channels.
